LAKE PLACID, Fla. (Nov. 18, 2019) – Cut your own sugarcane stalks and make your own sugarcane juice Nov. 22-23 at Sugar Sand Distillery’s first Raisin’ Cane Festival from 11AM-6PM on Friday, Nov. 22 and 11AM-10PM on Saturday, Nov. 23.
Harvest your own sugarcane stalks on-site. Staff will squeeze the juice from your stalks, and you can take home your very own sugarcane juice. Sugarcane juice is rich in iron, magnesium, calcium and other electrolytes so it’s great for dehydration. It helps cure the common cold and other infections and also fight fever as it boosts the body’s protein levels. It is great in tea, as syrup, or age it and make sugarcane vinegar.
Squeeze as much or as little as you like. Just $1/stalk. One stalk makes 1/5 gallon. Be sure to bring your own jar or jug to put the juice in. While here, enjoy complimentary tastings of our products. On Saturday, Nov. 23, B Daddy’s BBQ food truck will be on site starting at 11AM, and enjoy live music from The Fabulous Voodoo Kings from 6-10 PM. The event is free to attend.
